Karakara’s design centres on light: golden-yellow walls under a vaulted timber ceiling, a low platform bed beneath a wide canopy, a lounge with deep cushions and a carved coffee table, and the banda’s name engraved above its glazed timber door.
Its bathroom takes a gentler line than its stone-built neighbours: a long double vanity in warm timber and a tiled, sunken tub framed by a living branch column.
